A Lithuania-licensed credit institution operating cross-border in Poland and the banking arm of the globally recognised Revolut fintech group, renowned for its fully digital, innovation-driven retail and business banking services, has engaged the law firm on a long-term secondment to serve as its dedicated, Polish-qualified legal adviser.
Acting exclusively in English, we provide end-to-end regulatory support that preserves the bank’s cross-border activities in Poland from any lapse in local compliance. The engagement extends to drafting and verifying internal policies and contractual instruments, managing and documenting operational processes, structuring and negotiating agreements with third-party providers, managing relations with domestic supervisory authorities, and designing the legal frameworks for new products and business initiatives introduced to the Polish market.

We advised our client on the implementation of a commitment decision issued by the Polish Office of Competition and Consumer Protection (UOKiK), which addressed certain practices related to informing clients about changes in payment service agreements. Specifically, the decision highlighted issues such as the improper form of notifying customers about fee changes and the lack of appropriate modification clauses in contracts.
We advised our client on preparing its new loyalty scheme for deployment in the Polish market. Loyalty scheme allows users to accrue points for card spend, in-app challenges and the use of selected Revolut services, and to redeem those points for benefits offered within the application.
